SDI Wifi New York Metro Area Network

The New York Metro area network is a “first of its kind” system. With it, SDI Wifi is creating a high-performance / high-security mobile broadband system that is wholly devoted to mission critical private network services. Using a completely independent Band 41 network, SDI Wifi decouples private network users from the risks associated with sharing resources with generic consumer applications.

The SDI Wifi network is built from inception for secure, redundant and guaranteed performance. Phase I of the New York Metro network build (mid-2023 commissioning) will cover large portions of the metro area, including deep signal coverage in enterprise, industrial, and transit areas. Phase II of the build will expand residential area coverage across approximately 15 million people, and significantly multiply the frequency reuse factor to add significant broadband capacity.

New York Metro Network – SDI Wifi’s wide area Band 41 network will begin operations in mid-2023. By early 2024, the network will offer private network function across an area covering approximately 15 million people.
